Cops shoot armed man in Harlem

Cops opened fire and shot a man who pulled a gun on officers in Harlem Wednesday night, police say.

Officers responded to a joint DEA- NYPD operation on 125th Street and 12th Avenue just after 9:00 p.m, according to authorities. Police say the responding officers attempted to talk to the suspect, when the man allegedly brandished a firearm. It’s unclear whether or not the man fired the weapon, cops say.

The man was shot once in the arm and was taken to Saint Luke’s Hospital for minor injuries, police sources said.

Police say a gun was recovered during the shootout and charges against the shooter are pending. An investigation is ongoing, according to police.
