Some sexy data in BLS report

There were some sexy data in the usually stale Bureau of Labor Statistics report that came out Friday.
While the US economy added 169,000 jobs for the month of August, deep in the report the feds say there was a soft patch in the “motion picture and sound recording industries.”
According to the labor report, 22,000 acting and production positions were furloughed during August.
This data coincide with the weeklong shutdown of the porn industry in California due to an actress testing positive for HIV.
While the film jobs did return, another 74,000 jobs that were reported to have been created in June and July were revised as having not in fact come back.

It was not immediately known if the temporary work stoppage affected the unemployment rate, since that is conducted using a different system of polling Americans through a telephone survey.
