Drunk city worker crashes salt truck: cops

A boozed-up on-duty sanitation worker was arrested when he crashed a salt spreader into a parked vehicle in St. Albans, cops said.

Dewayne Ruddock, 33, was driving the salt spreader at 132 Avenue and Rockaway Boulevard around 12:30 a.m. when he hit the parked car — with a man sitting inside, according to police.

Police were called to the scene and smelled alcohol on the sanitation worker’s breath.

Ruddock was arrested and charged with driving a commercial vehicle while ability-impaired, cops said.
