HAPPY NEW YEAR

IT’S ironic that Bonanno capoditutti capi Joseph Massino was nailed by the cops for racketeering and murder right at the beginning of the new year.

Bon anno means happy new year, or literally “good year,” in Italian. In other words, the feds nailed a member of the Good Year family.

Authorities hailed this as a great get, and it was. Unfortunately, Massino allegedly murdered fellow mobster Dominick Napolitano in 1981, which means he had 21 good years before getting pinched. Ouch.
