Last week gays made strides, lost ground, and were declared by no less than the president and the pope to be sinners who are unfit for marriage.
Maybe they should watch “Jerry Springer” to see how fit for marriage heterosexuals are these days. Pope John Paul II even said that gay couples who adopt kids “would do violence to these children.” As opposed to – who? – unmarried priests?
The irony is that gay men who aren’t allowed to get hitched want to, and straight men who can spend half their lives trying not to.
In other gay news, The Post last week revealed that the city will be opening the first gay high school. The rationale? Gay kids get beaten and abused in school and should be segregated from everyone else. Martin Luther King Jr. must be revolving in his grave!
Good thing that fat kids, foreigners, minorities, girls, kids with handicaps, acne, and those wearing religious garb are never picked on, abused or beaten up in city schools.
