Kris Jenner to school Ad Week on her $80M brand

Want to know how to transform minor celebrity into a global retail business?

Ask Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian’s mom. She’s set to speak this Tuesday as part of Advertising Week, the four-day brand extravaganza that is part conference and part festival.

Jenner is set to be interviewed by Scott Donaton, chief content officer at Universal McCann.

Some would say the real branding genius behind Jenner’s “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” is executive producer Ryan Seacrest, who deserves some credit for nine seasons of the show, which follows the lives of the Kardashian sisters as they navigate babies, boyfriends, divorces and dating.

Kardashian Inc. is an estimated $80 million empire, a cash pile built by endorsements of everything from clothing lines to candles.

The sisters famously work hard at building their brand by charging companies to tweet their messages.

And to think it all started with that Ray J sex tape.
