Pastor admits raping teens, DNA from pregnancy nailed him

A sleazy reverend will be brought to justice for raping two teens, including one who belonged to his flock in the Wakefield section of the Bronx, authorities said.

Former Bronx principal and pastor Michael Clare, 41, of West Harrison, pleaded guilty to raping the congregant and a girl who went to a school affiliated with Clare’s church. He will be sentenced Jan. 30.

Bronx District Attorney Robert Johnson said Wednesday that Clare admitted to penetrating a 13-year-old girl who attended his Harvest Worship Center International church.

The attack occurred March 9, 2007 inside the perverted pastor’s home, which at the time was in the Bronx. The creepy preacher also admitted to having sex with a 14-year-old girl who attended a school linked to his church in September 2009.

Clare, whose MySpace page for his church once declared him “a man of great integrity,” initially said the victims made up their stories to smear him. One of them became pregnant and prosecutors said DNA evidence from the pregnancy nailed the lying preacher.

Clare will become a registered sex offender and serve five years in prison. After that, the Jamaican citizen faces deportation from the feds who picked him up in August 2012 and accused him of being in the United States illegally.
