Chandler talks postseason bust in new commercial

Tyson Chandler has given a little taste of his determination to make up for his flop against Roy Hibbert and the Pacers in the playoffs last May.

And this new YouTube video — for MuscleMilk — underscores his belief last season was a failure for him.

In the workout video, Chandler says, “I have a sour taste in my life from last season. I feel I left something on the table personally. You take it into summer and use it as motivation. There’s no offseason for me because there’s always someone else working.”

Chandler added, “I picture that person, picture them working hard and refuse to let them outwork me.”

Chandler was outspoken last week about how he felt he let the Knicks down in his matchup against Hibbert, the Indiana center. He’s trying to reinvent himself by practicing more than 600 jump shots each practice in an experiment Knicks coach Mike Woodson wants to try.

In the video, Chandler adds, “Always ask myself at the end of the day: ‘Did i get better?’ You’re either getting better or you’re going backwards. I’m a lot stronger now than when I finished the season. Honestly, I never felt I accomplished my goals. Ultimately my goal is to win a championship in New York. I’ve got a long ways to go and I have to be physically and mentally ready to go the distance. That’s what drives me every day.”

Chandler also weakened in the playoffs by a strained ligament in his neck and having lost 12 pounds because of strep throat.
