Dodgers bear dances in front of Dustin Hoffman, gains instant fame

Just when you thought you had seen everything in baseball, you get a dancing bear.

The cub scampered onto the top of the Cardinals dugout during the eighth inning of Monday night’s NLCS Game 3 at Dodger Stadium, and broke it down in front of an adoring crowd that included Dustin Hoffman.

The fake mascot’s pump-up routine included ballet-style leaps and a split that briefly brought the shuffling to a paws, um, pause.

Security eventually intervened and led the sneaker-clad furry away – presumably to hibernate for the winter.

The Cardinals did not appear ruffled by the commotion, though they did allow an insurance run in the inning as the Dodgers went on to win, 3-0.
