More than 800 trapped on broken NJ Transit train for an hour

More than 800 people were stranded under the Hudson River for more than an hour after their NJ Transit train broke down near Penn Station Friday night, authorities said.

According to fire officials who responded to the scene, the commuters were stranded between 10:00 and 11:00 p.m before authorities could rescue the disabled train using a tow to bring it back to Penn Station.

No injuries were reported, authorities said.
