HUNT FOR PUP AFTER ‘4TH’ FRIGHT

O say, have you seen this dog?

Independence Day was a harrowing experience for a Bronx pup who – jolted by fireworks – bolted from his owner and was scooped up by a couple of dognappers.

Like most Fourth of July stories, it all started at a backyard barbecue.

Revo, a 2-year-old Shih Tzu, and Olady Estevez, 23, were watching fireworks at Jennings Street and Vyse Avenue in Crotona Park East at about 9 p.m. when the rockets’ red glare and bombs bursting in air gave the pooch such a fright that he was no longer there.

Estevez said witnesses told her two women in a black SUV picked up the running dog and sped off.

Estevez has now spent the last two days putting up signs around her neighborhood and has even transformed her MySpace page into a veritable missing-dog flier – she hopes that whoever took her beloved Revo just wanted to protect him.

Unfortunately, the dog was not wearing its tag, which has his name and address printed on it. It had just rained, and the tag was drying off inside Estevez’s house.
