Permanent repairs have still not been made to the Engine 10/Ladder 10 firehouse more than three months after a 15-foot pipe fell from the Deutsche Bank building and speared through its roof, The Post has learned.
The Lower Manhattan Development Corp., owner of the toxic tower at 130 Liberty St., assured the fire department that it would pay for all repairs stemming from the May 17 accident.
“What they promised they haven’t followed through on,” said FDNY spokesman Jim Long. “This was supposed to have been done weeks ago.”
Errol Cockfield, a spokesman for the LMDC, said the repair is on hold in the wake of the Aug. 18 fire at the building that killed two firefighters.
