Sarah Palin is a knockout, the new leader of Pakistan said yesterday after meeting her.
“You are even more gorgeous than you are on the [TV],” gushed Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari, while greeting the GOP vice-presidential nominee at the InterContinental hotel yesterday.
“You are so nice. Thank you,” Palin said. “Now I know why the whole of America is crazy about you,” Zardari said.
But Zardari quipped he’s so wowed by Palin’s beauty that a handshake wasn’t enough. “I might hug,” he said to laughter.
Both were in town for the UN General Assembly session.

Palin said she’s learned one important lesson from her New York meetings with heads of state: They admire America.
“A lot of good people share an appreciation for America,” she said.
Palin, a first-term Alaska governor, has taken heat from Democrats over her limited global experience.
