DOCS EYED IN LIRR RETIRE SCAM

A top official on the federal agency that granted virtually 100 percent of disability pensions to LIRR workers has been grilled by investigators probing the alleged scam, The Post has learned.

Cathleen Quinn, who runs the Westbury office of the US Railroad Retirement Board, recently testified under subpoena before state Attorney General Andrew Cuomo’s investigators, said a source close to the probe.

As more figures continue to be slapped with civil subpoenas on Long Island, the source said, the suspicion is that doctors and lawyers were also involved in the disability scam.

“We’re investigating the role that these doctors played, along with the disability consultants,” the source admitted.

“There’s only one or two types of claim of disability that account for most of the cases.”
