Starz has teamed with NBA star LeBron James for a new comedy about the world of professional basketball.
Titled “Survivor’s Remorse,” the half-hour series, executive-produced by James, follows Cam Calloway, a basketball player in his early 20s thrust into the spotlight after signing a multi-million contract with a pro team in Atlanta.
He and his cousin, who moves with him to Georgia, must confront the challenges of opportunistic family members and their ties to the poor community they came from.
The comedy, which is written by Mike O’Malley (“Glee,” “Yes, Dear”), will premiere its six-episode first season in the fall.
