‘ROTTEN’ RAP FOR NYU FOOD

Calling it NY-eww!

Seven of the 13 NYU dining halls inspected by the city’s Department of Health since November have been hit with between 20 and 26 violation points — just short of the lowest possible passing mark of 27 — for mice infestation, spoiled food and milk, and other unsanitary conditions.

Among those dinged the hardest was the cafeteria in the campus student center at Washington Square — where evidence of “mice or live mice” and conditions “conducive to vermin” contributed to a violation score of 24. NYU spokesman John Beckman said the school immediately took action to address the problems.
