MAKING IT & FAKING IT

A talker on the festival circuit, Friday’s “Anvil! The Story of Anvil” follows the ups and many downs of a Canadian heavy metal band as they try to rock their way back to respectability. While the band is very real, their story parallels the mother of all fake metal rock groups: Spinal Tap. But Anvil producer Rebecca Yeldham makes one important distinction: “They’re funny,” she says of the real band. “But they know they’re funny.”
