GAUL RECALL OF UN DIPLO

France’s top UN military diplomat has been quietly booted from New York after his wife and her previous husband were convicted in a $3.3 million fraud scheme, The Post has learned.

Brig. Gen. Dominique Trinquand was sent packing back to Paris shortly after his con-artist wife, Mireille Chataigne Mouchette Trinquand, was sentenced to a year in jail in their homeland for stealing a fortune from an 86-year-old man.

A spokesman for France’s UN mission confirmed that the decorated general had been replaced.

As his country’s head military attaché, Trinquand represented France on the Security Council’s P5 Military Staff Committee for four years. He was awarded the country’s Legion d’Honeur for his service in the Balkans and Lebanon.
