‘Take Fifth’ PA big quits

ALBANY — Embattled Port Authority and MTA board member David Mack abruptly resigned from both posts yesterday in the wake of Attorney General Andrew Cuomo’s revelation that he invoked the Fifth Amendment 37 times in the State Police scandal probe.

Earlier this week, Cuomo released a scathing report on political influence in the State Police that sought to determine why Mack, a major campaign contributor to former Gov. George Pataki, was made a State Police deputy superintendent, complete with badge and uniform, without any prior police background.
