Hear frantic 911 audio of ESPN’s Steve Phillips’ spouse

In a frantic 911 call, Steve Phillips’ wife described her encounter with 22-year-old production assistant who had an affair with her husband.

“I have a crazy woman who is involved with my husband and she’s come to my house to harm me and my children,” Marni Phillips tells the 911 operator.

“Please hurry and catch her — she’s crazy,” she then says.

The confrontation happened when Brooke Hundley went to the Phillips’ home to leave a letter for Marni Phillips.

The letter bragged about her relationship with Phillips, an ESPN baseball analyst and former Mets general manager, and took shots at the Phillips’ “loveless marriage.”

Marni Phillips in the call to cops sounds distressed and says the woman “threatened me with text messages and phone calls.”

“I shouldn’t have crashed my car into hers or anything, right?” she asks the operator.

She also says she’s going to call her husband at work and ask him the woman’s name. Then she finds the letter.

Steve Phillips already had told police that he believed Hundley was “obsessive and delusional” after he dumped her and that he had “extreme concerns” about his family’s safety.

The 911 call’s release comes on the same day that The Post broke the news of Phillips’ tawdry affair with Hundley, and her reaction after he dumped her.

ESPN today suspended Phillips and he acknowledged the affair.

“I am deeply sorry that I have put my family and colleagues through this,” he said in a statement. “It is a personal matter that I will not comment on further.

“I have, however, asked for a leave of absence to address this with my family and to avoid any unnecessary distractions through the balance of the baseball playoffs.”
