The Bronx

A thief snuck into a Belmont apartment building and stole electronics and power tools, authorities said.

The burglar (at right) climbed over an iron gate leading to the basement of the building on East 187th Street at around 4 p.m. Nov. 30, cops said.

He made his way to the basement where he took a power saw and numerous other tools, cops said.

He also snatched a DVD burner.


Angel YamboNYPD

A crook is wanted for breaking into a University Heights apartment and stealing electronics and cash, authorities said.

Police believe Angel Yambo, 38, pushed in the air conditioning unit of an apartment at around noon on Nov. 20 and entered the apartment through the window.

Yambo (left) fled with a Sony PlayStation, a TV and an unknown amount of cash, police said.

He is described as being 5-foot-9 and weighs about 190 pounds.


A thief is wanted for robbing cellphone stores in Fleetwood-Concourse Village, authorities said.

The robber first struck the afternoon of Nov. 24 at a Boost Mobile store on Webster Avenue, where he pulled out a gun and ordered a worker to give him cash. He fled with $560.

He struck again Nov. 29 at a Simple Mobile store on Webster Avenue at 6 p.m., when cops said he again stuck up a clerk and got away with $1,400.

The store clerk was punched in the face during that robbery.

The suspect returned to the Boost Mobile store on Dec. 8, and this time he walked away with $4,500, police said.

The suspect is described as being approximately 25 years old, stands about 6-feet tall and weighs about 185 pounds.

Manhattan

A woman’s wallet was snatched by two thieves while she was hanging out at a Greenwich Village pub, authorities said.

The victim had her purse slung over the back of a chair while she was sitting inside the Village Tavern on Bedford Street at around 8 p.m. Dec. 5. One of the suspects (right) snuck up and fished the wallet out of her bag, cops said.

The woman didn’t realize her wallet was gone until she got home later that night.

The crooks were caught on surveillance video at a nearby CVS using the victim’s stolen credit card, cops said.

The male and female suspects are described as being in their 50s, police said.


A woman was found dead inside a parked car on a Kips Bay street Thursday, authorities said.

The 58-year-old woman was spotted inside her 1993 Volvo station wagon at the corner of Second Avenue and East 32nd Street around 9:40 a.m., cops said.

The woman is believed to have been living out of the car, which sources said had been parked at that location for some time and was filled with her personal belongings.

The medical examiner will perform an autopsy to try and determine the cause of death.

Brooklyn

A 65-year-old woman was fatally struck by a hit-and-run driver Thursday in Crown Heights, cops said.

The woman was crossing Eastern Parkway near Utica Avenue when a Nissan Murano plowed into her around 11:30 a.m., cops said.

“That car hit her and didn’t stop,” said Moe Kariem, 36, who witnessed the incident. “[It] was like ‘boom!’ and he was gone.”

The SUV continued west on Eastern Parkway and turned onto Schenectady Avenue, cops said.

“They tried to give her CPR, but there was no response,” Kariem said.

The victim was taken to Kings County Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, officials said.

Police were still searching for the driver of the SUV, which they said has New Jersey license plates, as of Thursday night.
