Mets’ Daniel Murphy, Ike Davis file for arbitration

Seven Mets were among the 146 major league players who filed for arbitration on Tuesday.

Daniel Murphy, Ike Davis, Bobby Parnell, Dillon Gee, Eric Young Jr., Lucas Duda and Ruben Tejada all filed.

Murphy is projected to be the most expensive of the bunch.

After making $2.9 million last season, he likely will receive upward of $5 million in 2014.

Davis ($3.1 million), Parnell ($1.7 million), Gee ($527,000), Duda ($520,000), Tejada ($514,000) and Young ($490,000) also are likely to get increases in pay.

Davis, Gee and Parnell each could approach or surpass $3.5 million in salary. Duda and Young are projected to make about $2 million apiece.

Tejada figures to receive roughly $1 million.

Players and teams will begin exchanging figures on Friday.
