Bronx DA Robert Johnson is probing State Sen. Pedro Espada and has subpoenaed his Senate records dating back to 1993.
Espada claims Johnson already has the records he’s seeking from a case he litigated against him in 2000. The records involve member items and residency issues.
In a statement, Espada hinted Johnson was doing political dirty work for the Democrats. He said he’ll ask the Inspector General today to investigate Johnson for “prosecutorial misconduct and selective prosecution.”
