A popular ice-cream seller was arrested in front of heartbroken school kids in Brooklyn for not having a proper license, police said today.
Ninfa Cardenas was taken into custody Tuesday shortly after 3 p.m. while selling the frozen treats in front of PS 8 on Hicks Street in Brooklyn Heights, officials said.
Cardenas, 36, had been warned by authorities numerous times that she needed a vendor’s license.
“She was still out there peddling ice cream when she shouldn’t be,” a police source said.
She was taken to the 84th Precinct stationhouse where she received three summonses.
A call to her home wasn’t returned.
