BUSHWICK BANDITS CAUGHT ON TAPE

A trio of thugs were caught on camera during a stick-up at a Bushwick grocery shop.

The bandits were caught on tape inside the convenience store at the B.P gas station on Bushwick Avenue near Troutman Street, shortly after 11 p.m. on July 7.

The footage shows one of the robbers leaping over the counter, through an opening in a plexi-glass barrier and attacking the clerk. An accomplice, with his face partially concealed behind a bandanna, followed him over the counter.

A third bandit pulled out what appeared to be a gun and held the clerk at gunpoint, while his accomplices looted the cash register before escaping with an undisclosed amount of money, sources said.

At least two of the crooks captured on the video are believed to be responsible for two other robberies in the area, police said.

The pair first struck on June 11, when they stormed into a restaurant on Myrtle Avenue near Bushwick Avenue at 10 :45 p.m. and robbed the cashier at gunpoint, sources said.

The same men are also believed to be behind a robbery at a grocery shop a few blocks away on Wilson Avenue near Jefferson Avenue, shortly after 5 p.m on June 26, sources said.
