He’s out! ‘Bosox Bandit’ busted

The “Red Sox Bandit” has been caught stealing, police said last night.

Authorities in Rocky Mount, NC, arrested Rasheem Williams, 37, the knife-wielding subway mugger wanted by the NYPD for 15 robberies, authorities there said.

Williams wore a Boston Red Sox cap while preying mostly on young women in Upper Manhattan, The Bronx and Brooklyn, police have said.

His mugging spree spanned from January until August, when he went on the lam.

He told some victims not to follow him, or “I’ll hurt you,” a source said.

On June 7, he allegedly punched a 40-year-old woman in the face when she wouldn’t give up her purse as she rode the A train near the 207th Street station.

Williams, who was on the Top Most Wanted Fugitive list posted online by Crime Stoppers, has a criminal record dating back 20 years, authorities said.

Two other NYPD fugitives, Jamal Williams and Michael Lewis, were also arrested in Rocky Mount, but their connection to the accused mugger wasn’t immediately known.
