Another domestic dispute between a Paterson aide and girlfriend

Gov. Paterson’s top adviser and ex-roommate Clemmie Harris got into a heated argument in 1995 with Harris’ then-girlfriend, and it left the woman so scared that she called the cops, according to a report.

The domestic dispute is the second to rock the Paterson administration, which is being investigated for possibly interfering with a case involving another top aide.

The incident involving Harris, first reported yesterday by the Albany Times Union, occurred in 1995 at the home of Lori Ann Guzman.

Sources said the argument never became violent, and no charges were filed.

At the time of the incident, Harris was a state trooper. Harris, now 46, and Guzman, now 42, broke up in June 1996.

Paterson hired Harris after taking office in March 2008. But the two have been pals for years and even roomed together in Albany when they were bachelors.

Harris regularly stays overnight in the Governor’s Mansion. He’s paid $82,400 annually as a special gubernatorial assistant.
