Jets 7 1/2 point underdog against Colts

The Jets — who have lost two games this season by more than 7 points — are a 7 1/2 point underdog against the Colts in next Sunday’s AFC Championship.

The Jets defeated the Colts 29-15 in Week 16 after trailing the Colts 15-10 in the third quarter when Indianapolis removed its starters.

“Obviously a lot of people said they gave it to us, they pulled their starters out,” Dustin Keller told SNY. “They did pull their starters out, but in our eyes we were going to win that game regardless.

“We had to win that game to get into the playoffs, and it’s just our chance to prove them wrong, that that game was going to be ours regradless and we’re the better team out there.”

The Colts were 2-2 against the spread this season when favored by at least 7 points. The Jets were 0-2 as underdogs of at least 7 points before defeating San Diego 17-14 today. The Jets have won and covered seven of their past eight games.

“I’ll watch the game and watch it with a critical eye and see what we can pick up and as soon as it gets narrowed down, we’ll focus in on who we’re going to play,” Colts head coach Jim Caldwell told the Indianapolis Star before the game.

In the NFC Championship, the Saints are 4-point favorites over the Vikings.
