Boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. liable for less than $6K in rap suit

Undefeated boxer Floyd “Money” Mayweather Jr. avoided a heavy blow to the wallet today when a judge ruled he owes a Long Island management firm less than $6,000 for poaching a rapper for his “Philthy Rich Records” label.

Just for You Entertainment had sought more than $750,000 over its broken contract with “Freck Billionaire” — real name Jeffrey Whitters — but Manhattan federal Judge Kevin Castel said testimony from company owner Ahmed Fahmy failed to prove the bulk of his allegations.

“The problem with this case is a lack of probative evidence,” Castel said. “It appears no records were kept for many items where damages were claimed.”

The judge approved just a handful of Fahmy’s expenses, including $3,490 to produce demo tapes and $322 to rent a boat in Miami for a video shoot.

Castel also signed off on a $480 bill at the swanky Le Parker Meridien hotel in Palm Springs, Calif., and a $111 tab at a Red Lobster restaurant during a trip to meet with record execs in Los Angeles.

Mayweather, formerly known as “Pretty Boy,” never answered the suit against him and did not send any lawyers to yesterday’s inquest.
