A man died in New Jersey yesterday when a car ran him over, severing both his legs.
When Newark police arrived at the scene at 3:30 a.m., they found the man, whose identity was not released, pinned under a car, according to a report in The Star-Ledger of Newark.
He was taken to a hospital, where he died, Newark Police spokeswoman Detective Josephine Santaniello said.
The woman who was behind the wheel of the car was arrested on drunken-driving charges.
