Diva in a ‘row’ over plane seat

She’s still a prima donna!

A former opera singer is suing American Airlines over her dramatic dust-up with a fellow passenger over a window seat.

Gabriele Hammerstein, an 87-year-old cousin of the late lyricist Oscar Hammerstein, is screeching mad that airline staffers took sides against her on a 2008 flight from London to New York.

Hammerstein says she was waiting for takeoff in an aisle seat when the woman next to her got up and went to the bathroom.

Suddenly, a “very tall” man “planted himself in the window seat next to mine, during the course of which he fell on top of me, without any apology.”

Hammerstein says she summoned a stewardess who “didn’t want to hear this or believe me.”

Her Manhattan federal court filing demands unspecified damages from American. An airline spokesman declined to comment.
