Bronx bank-rob suspect all of 15

He’s a baby-faced — and red-faced — bank bandit, cops say.

A 15-year-old suspected thief was busted in The Bronx yesterday when his alleged robbery attempt literally blew up in his face, police sources said.

Tahiem Hart was covered in red from an exploding dye pack when he was arrested outside the Amalgamated Bank branch on Bartow Avenue in Co-op City at around 2:40 p.m.

He allegedly had presented a note to the teller warning that “he had a bomb,” a source said.

The worker secretly stuffed a dye pack between stacks of bills — and handed them over to Hart, sources said.

Hart allegedly dashed from the bank, only to have the dye pack detonate in a bag with $1,000 in stolen cash, sources said.

Seisung Kim, 72, owner of the Soul Station clothing store near the bank, said the painted bills were a mess.

“Police officers ran over quickly and started picking up all the red bills,” he said.

“These kids today are so stupid. How did he think he could get away with robbing a bank? The teller was very smart to do what she did.”

A veteran police source said that adolescent bank robbers are “super rare.”
