SI tollbooth clerk stole $10,000 in tolls

A Staten Island tollbooth clerk who worked at three Port Authority bridges stole $10,000 over five months by pocketing pricy cash tolls paid by big-rig trucks, authorities said.

William Bradshaw — who worked at the Goethals and Bayonne bridges and the Outerbridge Crossing — allegedly kept the cash that truck drivers paid by failing to register the vehicles in the computer system.

Tolls for the huge trucks can be $100 a trip.

“It was an honest and stupid mistake,” Bradshaw allegedly told PA cops after his arrest.

His wife told The Post she dumped him after his bust.

“I wanted to kill him,” said Christine Bradshaw.

He was charged with grand larceny in the third degree.

Bean counters noticed he had an unusually high number of trucks that he claimed got lost and weren’t required to pay the toll.
