Mayor Bloomberg yesterday openly questioned Gov. Spitzer‘s decision to allow illegal aliens to get a driver’s license, saying City Hall’s top lawyer doesn’t believe the move will pass muster with the federal government.
“I am concerned about it,” Bloomberg said, adding that he has already spoken to Spitzer about the issue.
Citing the opinion of Corporation Counsel Michael Cardozo, Bloomberg said that granting driver’s licenses to illegal aliens would mean that legal citizens won’t be able to use their driver’s licenses for identification to get on commercial airplanes.
