SECOND SHOOTING FATAL FOR QNS. TEEN

A Queens teen wounded by gunfire a month ago was shot again yesterday- this time fatally, police said.

Mario Young, 16, was gunned down by one of two thugs who confronted him as he walked with pals on Beach Channel Drive in Far Rockaway at 4 p.m.

He died at St. John’s Hospital an hour later.

The shooting may have been the climax of a quarrel that started Sunday, police said.

Young had been shot in the leg last month, but cops don’t believe the same shooter was responsible.

The suspects in yesterday’s shooting fled into the Mott Avenue subway station, where seven minutes later, two riders were stabbed on the platform.

They refused to cooperate with cops, who were investigating whether the stabbings were related to yesterday’s fatal shooting.

Young was an aspiring rapper who attended Far Rockaway HS. “He was a great boy,” said his tearful mom, Juanita.

Young’s grandmother Annie said, “They need to do something to get guns away from young people.”
