SAKS SCAM GAL IS GUILTY

Saks Fifth Avenue’s best-ever jewelry saleswoman was convicted yesterday of grand larceny and falsifying business records for a customer-refund scheme that boosted her sales.

Cecille Villacorta, 52, was cleared by a Manhattan Supreme Court jury of the most serious charge – that she stole more than $1 million from the store by refunding it back to the credit accounts of her favorite customers.

She was also cleared of an additional 156 lesser counts of grand larceny.

But the 146 charges for which she was convicted could result in up to four years in prison when she’s sentenced next month.
