Gals on wild Gosling chase

Ryan Gosling is as popular as the Easter Bunny.

Messages ascribed to the Hollywood heartthrob were stuffed in hundreds of Easter eggs and stashed across the city yesterday — prompting a frantic scavenger hunt by adoring fans.

But “The Notebook” actor has no direct involvement with the hunt. It was hatched by a Manhattan gal inspired by Gosling’s near-cult status, especially among young women in New York.

“He’s kind of like the Superman of New York,” said Jenna Livingston, 28. “Everyone freaks out when they see him here. It’s a huge deal.”

It’s the second year of the event, which includes 600 hidden eggs and has even expanded this year to London, San Francisco and Chicago.

About 200 of the plastic containers were placed near park benches, ATMs, car-door handles and doorsteps around Manhattan.

Ladies lucky enough to find one — with help from Twitter user @GoslingEaster (eventually revealed to be Livingston) — were greeted by a photo of the hunky star and one of several Easter-theme romantic messages: “I only have eggs for you” or : “I heart you by the dozen,” “You’re the only bunny I have ears for” or “You’re my favorite jelly bean” or “I’m dipping myself in chocolate for you.” and “You make me happier than a whole row of marshmallow chicks.”

Gosling’s rep did not return calls. “People are going nuts,” said Livingston, who works for an ad agency.
