Calvin Pace: New England is ‘last place’ expected for Revis

Calvin Pace played alongside Darrelle Revis with the Jets for five seasons. Now, he will see him in the uniform of the rival Patriots.

“That wasn’t a place that I thought he would ever go play at,” Pace said Wednesday in a conference call with reporters.

The outside linebacker re-signed with the Jets this week, agreeing to a two-year, $5 million deal.

Pace said it will be strange to see Revis, his old cornerback teammate, playing for Bill Belichick.

“I don’t even know what teams were truly interested in trying to pay for Darrelle’s services,” Pace said. “It’s interesting. It’s crazy having the opportunity to play with Revis, and then he leaves. That’s the last place I ever expected him to go play at, but it’s a good situation for him to go up there.

“I wish him the best except for two times a year.”
