Two factions of the Bronx County Democratic Committee elected rival party leaders last night.
Assemblyman José Rivera was re-elected as chairman of the county executive committee at the outset of the raucous meeting in the packed Paradise Theater. The vote was called illegal by the rebel coalition, which held its own vote to elect Assemblyman Carl Heastie.
Sources on both sides predicted the fight will end up in court this week.
