Boudin’s latest targets

The Issue: A Weathermen-bombing victim’s view of Columbia University’s decision to hire Kathy Boudin.

My heart goes out to John Murtagh for his moving piece recounting his experiences being attacked by the homegrown terrorists of the ’60s known as The Weathermen (“Tale of Two Terrorists,” PostOpinion, April 18).

The neo-Stalinist hacks at Columbia University who provided a monster and cop-killer with a cushy job — she’s as guilty as those who pulled the trigger — are beyond shame.

In Robert Redford’s new movie, the central character condemns the terrorist violence that the Kathy Boudin-based character stubbornly clings to.

These days, “high-minded warriors” of Boudin’s ilk are rewarded with an Ivy League perch.

Murtagh speaks not only for other victims of terrorism who cannot speak for themselves but also for all the potential victims of the Boudins of this world.

I remember the Murtaghs’ home being firebombed. It was so strange for Inwood, a peaceful neighborhood.

Think of the misery caused by empty people. What price have people like Boudin and Bill Ayers, with his ties to The Weathermen, paid?

If Boudin was a white supremacist, would she be out of jail? Would Columbia have hired her?

No, and if Ayers wasn’t a millionaire’s son, he might be in jail today or dead.

Boudin and Ayers have had privileges most could only dream of. People blessed with so much took away what little other people had.
