Today

SHADOW SPECTACLE: More elaborate than most shadow puppetry, the ancient Cambodian art of Sbeik Thom involves trained dancers and giant leather shadow puppets against a lit screen, plus live narration and music. See for yourself when the shadow-puppet troupe Wat Bo performs “Sor Neakabas” (“The Arrowhead Dragon”) as part of “Season of Cambodia: A Living Arts Festival.” Today and tomorrow, 8 p.m., free. Brookfield Place Winter Garden, 200 Vesey St., at the West Side Highway; 212-417-7000, brookfieldplaceny.com/ShadowPuppet

ROBOTICS RECYCLED: Perfect for truly tech-inclined tots, Rube Goldberg groupies or kids who just like building stuff, the Brooklyn Robot Foundry’s “Build-a-Bot” workshops include using clay, found objects and Legos to design obstacle courses and marble runs, build robots and more. (You can even drop your kids off!) Ages 5 to 9. Saturdays and Sundays, 9 to 11:30 a.m., $15. 303 Third Ave., between First and Carroll streets; 347-762-6840, brooklynrobotfoundry.com

CULTURE CLUB: Take a trip to The Land of the Morning Calm at the Children’s Museum of the Arts’ Korean Cultural Festival, where kids can make their own Korean totem poles (jangseung) while watching a live demo of Bongsan Talchum — a folk dance featuring colorful masks. Learn traditional calligraphy, embroidery and wood sculpting, too. 10 a.m., free with admission ($11 per person). 103 Charlton St., between Greenwich and Hudson streets; 212-274-0986, cmany.org

TOMORROW

(NOT TOO) BIG TOP: If three rings are more than your brood can handle, the Morgan Library and Museum’s “Spring Family Fair: Join the Circus!” will give them the big top experience on a smaller scale. Kids can catch performances by the Ben Jam circus troupe, goof around in clowning workshops and try on costumes. 2 p.m., $8 for adults, $2 for kids ages 3 to 12. 225 Madison Ave., at 36th Street; 212-685-0008, themorgan.org

DAYDREAMERS: The Okee Dokee Brothers say their folk-flavored songs were inspired by childhood dreams. Hear the duo sing about everything from safaris to Mississippi River rides at 92Y Tribeca. 11 a.m., $15 (kids under 2 free). 200 Hudson St., at Canal Street; 212-601-1000, 92ytribeca.org
