3 teens busted in convent fire ‘hate crime’

Cops have now arrested three teenagers in connection with a Staten Island convent fire that forced a nun to jump to safety from a second floor window.

Vincent Calder, 19, was arrested on a slew of charges that included arson as a hate crime, burglary and reckless endangerment, the NYPD said.

Two others, Christopher Sasso and Diego Tuso, both 19, were charged with burglary, criminal mischief and trespassing.

Sister Regina Gegic, the nun who leaped for her life Saturday from the burning Arrochar convent on the grounds of St. Joseph Academy, is recovering at Staten Island University Hospital from injuries that include a broken back.
