‘THE Trouble With Romance” contains the most disgust ing toilet scenes in the history of cinema.
OK, so I exaggerate. But the scenes are so sick that I can’t write about them without losing my breakfast (a sesame bagel with cream cheese and jelly).
The toilet caper is the lowest point of a movie with many low points, including bad acting and a generic script.
The movie tells four short stories about the sex-obsessed inhabitants of different rooms in the same hotel (looks like Florida, which would be fitting) on one night.
There is a lot of talk about sex (S&M included) but little action. And, except for topless dudes, there is no nudity.
You can see junk like this any night on cable TV, so why waste time and money going out? And you’ll be closer to the toilet if you stay home.
Running time: 88 minutes. Rated R (sex, human feces). At the Quad, 13th Street between Fifth and Sixth avenues.
