COURT PARADE OF BIKE ACTIVISTS

Bicycle riders spoke out in Manhattan federal court yesterday to protest having to get a parade permit if more than 50 of them gather for an event in the city.

The plaintiffs — including the Five Borough Bike Club — filed suit after the crackdown apparently targeting cyclists with Critical Mass, a controversial group that holds rides monthly and blocks traffic.

The suit pits riders against the cops, who have been accused of using harsh tactics to curb the cyclists.
