He had a stunning knockout win in the Massachusetts Senate race, and now Scott Brown is ready to take on President Obama — on the basketball court.
In an appearance on “The Jay Leno Show” last night, the Republican said he issued a challenge to the commander-in-chief for a little two-on-two showdown when the pair spoke on election night.
Brown said he’d team up with his daughter Ayla, an “American Idol” competitor and star guard at Boston College.
“We’d have the upper hand,” boasted Brown, who co-captained the hoops team when he attended Tufts University outside Boston in the ’80s. He was nicknamed “Downtown Scotty Brown” for his skill at outside shooting.
Brown also has another daughter, Arianna, a competitive equestrian and pre-med student at Syracuse University.
The once little-known state legislator jolted the national political scene in a Jan. 19 special election, capturing the Senate seat long held by late Democratic Sen. Ted Kennedy.
