Dallas Green deflected a potential game-winning shot, then sank two free throws with seven seconds left as Robert Morris beat host Quinnipiac 52-50 last night in Hamden, Conn., for its second straight Northeast Conference championship.
Freshman Karon Abraham scored 16 points to lead the Colonials (23-11), and Green and Russell Johnson each added nine.
Robert Morris is headed to the NCAA Tournament for the seventh time.
James Feldeine had 17 points for Quinnipiac (23-9), which was seeking its first conference title. The Bobcats came in 14-0 on their homecourt this season.

In Ogden, Utah, Anthony Johnson scored 34 of his 42 points in the second half as the Grizzlies (22-9) rallied from a 20-point halftime deficit to stun the host Wildcats (20-10) and punch their ticket to the NCAA tourney.

Brandon Richardson scored 19 points and No. 12 seed Nebraska (15-17) took command with an early 16-1 run and shocked No. 5 seed Missouri (22-10) in an opening-round upset at the Big 12 tournament in Kansas City.

Keiton Page scored 19 of his 24 points in a dominating first half as Oklahoma State (22-9) beat the Sooners (13-18).
The seventh-seeded Cowboys will play No. 2 seed Kansas State tonight.
Tex. Tech 82, Colorado 67
John Roberson scored 19 points, Nick Okorie added 18 and Texas Tech overcame a sloppy start defensively to open the Big 12 tournament with a win over Colorado.
The Red Raiders (17-14) move on to face top-ranked Kansas in the quarterfinals.

In Kansas City, Damion James had 28 points and 16 rebounds as sixth-seeded Texas (24-8) ousted the 11th-seeded Cyclones (15-17).

Donald Qualls scored 20 points as eighth-seeded Grambling State upset the No. 1 seed Jackson State (19-12) in the Southwestern Athletic Conference tournament quarterfinals in Bossier City, La.
The Tigers (7-20) became the first No. 8 seed to beat a No. 1 in the first round of the tournament since 2004.
