Montauk, LI, hosts the largest-grossing 7-Eleven in the nation

That’s a lot of Slurpees!

America’s highest-grossing 7-Eleven is in Montauk, LI, of all places, topping the chain’s 7,800 locations nationwide.

Suffolk County boasts America’s top four 7-Eleven money makers, with stores in East Patchogue, Southampton and Farmingville following Montauk.

Franchisee Chris Stephens and a spokeswoman for the Dallas-based chain both declined to say exactly how much the store at 653 Montauk Highway pulls in annually. Stephens estimated his gross to be in the “low millions” annually.

The Montauk spot makes a small mint on everyday 7-Eleven essentials. Customers gulp down $100,000 worth of beer and $50,000 in coffee each month.

It sells between 500 and 800 Slurpees — 7-Eleven’s famed, brain-freezing beverage — a day.

But this store really sets itself apart during the summer months when tourists flood the East End.

During the high season, local hotels are packed with travelers who have always forgotten something.

“Every week [in summer], it starts all over again,” Stephens told The Post on Saturday. “It’s like a whole new group needs beach umbrellas, lawn chairs, suntan lotion and on and on.”

The store also stocks goods not typical at 7-Eleven — such as boogie boards, for between $10.99 and $69.99, and skimboards that sell for up to $99.

The store sold 250 boogie boards last summer.
