3-D printed skull implanted in person for first time

Doctors in the Netherlands successfully implanted a plastic, 3-D printed skull inside a person for the first time, a report said.

The 22-year-old woman received the lifesaving surgery about three months ago, according to NBC.

The lead neurologist at the hospital made the announcement of the groundbreaking surgery earlier this week and said the patient has fully recovered and is not in any pain.
