Oy, such a pain I have

Larry David comes to New York for the new season of “Curb Your Enthusiasm.” The bald curmudgeon continues to alienate people with his peculiar behavior but now he’s doing it Manhattan as well as LA. In the first episode, Larry learns his lawyer isn’t kosher and cancels an order for Girl Scout cookies from a beleaguered sports owner. No Thin Mints for him.

Female ‘Liars’ on edge

AS the shocking news about Ian makes the rounds through Rosewood, Aria, Emily, Hanna, Spencer and their families all try to cope with the outcome. Spencer (Troian Bellisario) stays focused on her family. Emily (Shay Mitchell) digs her heels in to find any shred of evidence they may have over looked. And Aria (Lucy Hale) looks to find comfort in Ezra (Ian Harding), but they’re still in an awkward phase. With everyone sharing a huge sigh of relief, could Emily be right and the Liars still be destined for some much-needed comeuppance?

Hot for Havana

FOR the summer edition of “No Reservations,” Anthony Bourdain (left) travels to Cuba and meets with famous citizens who lived through the Cuban revolution and Castro’s reign. Photographer Roberto Salas, who captured a few of the most recognizable images of Castro and his regime, talks to Bourdain at the state-owned El Aljibe restaurant. He also learns from restaurateur Elizabeth Espinoza how the produce markets formed after starving citizens were forced to grow food themselves, creating a local and organic system. Lastly, Bourdain meets up with Cuban baseball fanatic Peter Bjarkman to cheer for the Pro Industriales, since baseball is such a huge part of Cuban culture.

Misfit blues

DEAF student Daphne Vasquez (Katie Leclerc) struggles to fit in at her new school. Meanwhile, her sister, Bay Kennish (Vanessa Marano), and Emmett (Sean Berdy) grow close while doing some research together. Co-starring Constance Marie, Lea Thompson and D.W. Moffett as the parents with the wrong daughters.

The last of Brenda

IT’S been a fun ride with Deputy Police Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson (Kyra Sedgwick, left), but the ride is slowing down as “The Closer” begins its final season. It won’t be dull, though. In the season premiere, Brenda and the squad investigate the owner of a hip-hop record label when one of his rap artists and six innocent bystanders are gunned down. Meanwhile, Chief Delk (Courtney B. Vance) is getting ready to announce the department’s new organizational chart as Brenda becomes the target of a civil suit against the police department.

Miss Close takes no prisoners

GOD help the person who doesn’t measure up to the impossible standards of Patty Hewes (Glenn Close, left) And that includes the nanny she’s hired take care of her granddaughter. When Patty finds too much high-fructose corn syrup in the kid’s birthday cake, she sacks the poor thing. Back at the firm, Patty thinks Ellen Parsons (Rose Byrne) is over her head in pursuing a case again High Tower Security, a military contractor with connections to the CIA, a hefty congressman (John Goodman) and one of Ellen’s high school pals, former soldier Chris Sanchez (Chris Messina). John Goodman is Howard Erickson, the bad guy this time around.
