Abused boy’s body goes unclaimed after dad’s arrest

The body of a 4-year-old boy who died, police say, after suffering unimaginable abuse at the hands his caretaker lies unclaimed in a city morgue because his jailbird dad can’t get free to bury him, according to the Medical Examiner’s Office.

The body of Myls Dobson can be claimed only by his father, Okee Wade, who’s in a New Jersey jail on a fraud warrant.

The boy’s mother, Ashlee Dobson, lost custody of her son to Wade, whose acquaintance, transsexual model Kryzie King, was in charge of the child at the time at a luxury West Side apartment.

On Tuesday, Wade pleaded with judges at an arraignment hearing in New Jersey to let him bury his child, according to The Wall Street Journal.

“I’m a single parent,” Wade told New Jersey Superior Court Judge Michael Donio. “The funeral hasn’t taken place yet. They’re waiting for me. I will make it my business to come back. I just want to bury my child.”

The judge was unsure about whether to release Wade, who was arrested in Brooklyn last month.

“I want you to be able to go bury your son — I want to see that happen. On the other hand, we can’t give you a free pass and never see you again,” the jurist said.

Wade had left Myls in the custody of King for unknown reasons since shortly before Wade’s incarceration.

Myls died at Roosevelt Hospital after being found with bruises and burns at King’s apartment.

King, 27, faces multiple counts of first-degree assault, child endangerment and unlawful imprisonment in the boy’s death.

She allegedly told police that the boy was misbehaving and had stopped eating.

King had even locked the boy outside on the balcony in his underwear during the city’s deep freeze in single-degree temperatures, sources said.

The child’s distraught mother, at her lawyer’s office in Brooklyn last week, claimed she “wanted the best” for her son.

Advocates and family members portrayed the absent mother of the boy as a victim in her own right.

Administration for Children’s Services officials said they had been investigating the case before the boy’s death.
